Apprenticeships with Gough Materials Handling: each year GMH offer up to 5 apprenticeships at various branch locations.  An apprentice undertakes a 4-year learning programme encompassing practical, on the job training and theory learning. On successful completion a National Certificate in Heavy Diesel Automotive Level 3 is awarded.

An apprenticeship with us will set you up for a successful career within our company. Many of our apprentices have gone on to enjoy years of satisfying and rewarding work and career achievements with us.

International Candidates: at times, when we are unable to source the talent we need within the New Zealand market, we do recruit international candidates for roles as Heavy Diesel Technicians.  To be considered for a role with GMH you will need to be a fully qualified Heavy Diesel Technician with a minimum of 5 years post qualification mechanic experience.  You will also need a superior level of English communication skills.
